Two fresh appointments to Aberfield’s team following big client wins

Leeds-based PR, social media and brand communications agency, Aberfield Communications, has appointed two new consultants to its team; Lucy Bristow and Gi-Ching Kwok. 

Lucy joins the team from Marlin PR in London, bringing two years of B2B and corporate technology communications experience to the table, having previously worked on a range of global campaigns for firms such as SAS, CrowdStrike, Forescout and Generation Investment Management. She is passionate about media relations and effective storytelling and has strong skills in national and trade relations. She will be supporting a range of teams including NG Bailey and Leeds Beckett University. 

Gi brings a range of experience to Aberfield, having completed her undergraduate degree in Business and Public Relations at Liverpool John Moores University in 2018. In addition to her degree, Gi completed a year-long placement in the marketing and PR team at GBG Plc and a communications internship with PwC, which has provided her with a strong corporate communications foundation. She has a solid social media skill set and will be bringing her expertise to accounts such as Calderdale College and CPP Group.

On her appointment, Lucy said: “Aberfield stood out from the crowd for me because of its positive influence approach, with the emphasis placed on the audience and how they have responded rather than just the numbers. Its fresh perspective on public relations won me over from the start and I knew it was going to be a great opportunity to grow my career.”

Gi added: “I’m looking forward to my time at Aberfield and the chance to work with a wide range of clients at this exciting time. Aberfield has given me the opportunity to kickstart my career, to apply my PR degree in an agency environment and to build upon my skillsets.”

These new appointments follow a series of client wins including Leeds Beckett University, Helmsley Group and TL Dallas.
